Ozarks Indie Book Fest started out as a dream. A dream of bringing the world of indie authors, bloggers and readers together in the heart of the Ozarks, right here in Springfield, Missouri.
Meet the hearts and minds behind Ozarks Indie Book Fest:
Blogger Jaci Chaney is the founder of the clean YA/NA book blog Us Girls & A Book.
Besides being a book reviewer and blogger, Jaci absolutely loves being part of a big family! She has 7 brothers and sisters, 32 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews. She also has two fur-babies, a Maltese dog, Zoey, and a tuxedo cat, Mister. She has lived in numerous places during her life, however for the first 20 years and for the past 3 years it has been in Southwest Missouri.
When people talk about movies vs books she always prefer books. Her favorite genre of books is romance. “I always go for the HEA (happily ever after). The characters need to have some struggle getting there though because life is like that, that is why those are the types of books I love and inspire me to believe in true love.
She has been a reader since she was a young child. “I have been reviewing books for a little over two years and blogging for a year and a half. I got into blogging because I wanted to help authors and make a difference in the writing community.”
I live in Northwest Ohio where I spend most of my time with my 6 adult sons, spoil my two little furballs and am married to the most understanding man in the world. I work part time as an STNA in a senior independent living facility. My passions are helping others, crafting, watching MMA fights with the hubby, reading and HARRY POTTER.. I began my blog, Reading For Fun in March 2013 when I realized how many great Indie Authors there are out there and I wanted to help spread the word. I love reading new books of all genres, but Paranormal Romance has always had a special place in my heart.
Sharon Rose Mayes
Sharon lives in Lufkin, Texas with her two sons. She chronicles her daily life at her personal blog Not Your Mom Blog and has been active in the blogosphere for seven years. When she is not chasing her kids and participating in roller derby she writes and dreams of all of the places she can’t wait to travel. She loves to write Young Adult stories about vampires, vampire hunters, witches, reincarnation, paranormal, and even a little bit on the New Adult side under the name S.R. Mayes.
Tia Silverthorne Bach
Tia Silverthorne Bach has been married to her college sweetheart for twenty years, has three beautiful girls, and adores living in sunny California. Her daughters were born in Chicago, San Diego, and Baltimore; and she feels fortunate to have called many places home. She believes in fairy tales and happy endings and is an avid reader and rabid grammar hound.
She is an award-winning, multi-genre author and an Editor for Indie Books Gone Wild. From an early age, she escaped into books and believes they can be the source of healing and strength. If she’s not writing, you can find her on the tennis court, at the movies, reading a good book, or spooning Jif peanut butter right out of the jar.

Marketing Director: Jo Micheals
Hi! I’m Jo. So much to say, so little space to say it in. I’ll condense for you. I’m an author, book reviewer, radio show host, blogger, graphic designer, and one of the EICs for INDIE Books Gone Wild, where I’ve had the honor of working on a huge number of amazing Indie books. I hold a degree in graphic design and tutored that, along with English, in college. I write middle grade, YA, and NA novels, and have such an overactive imagination, I laugh out loud often. My blog at http://jomichaels.blogspot.com exists to provide support and education to Indie authors, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m not just a reader, I’m an author, and that gives me a unique perspective and audience for my blog.
My website can be found at WriteJoMichaels.com and as long as you can see the write, you know you have the right one.
